Bound pockets
I've been considering pockets, what we keep in them,
where they are placed, how we feel when we hide our hands in them.
Pockets as a receptacle, as a fashion feature, as a bag. This led me to
the bound pocket, and the nature of bindings. 'Bound' has many meanings
to confine, restrict or limit, and conversely to leap forward or head
towards. Here are 3 of my bound pockets
my 'hair shirt' is embroidered on to bias binding and trimmed on to a jeans style pocket

| again using embroidered bias binding this time it is edging, binding an inseam pocket |

| this is one of my favorites, the inseam pocket has been stitched as usual, but the binding has been wound around a hand in the pocket afterwards, thus restricting the use |
